Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Grigol Katsia.
Grigol Katsia has many-years experience of working in managerial positions in private sector. At different times, he was the member of top-management of “Bank Republic Societe Generale” and “TBC Bank”, where he participated in determination of organization strategy. While working at “Bank Republic” he went through different career stages – from the position of Operations Officer to Director General – he managed all types of commercial activities; at the same time, he was the Chairperson of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Grigol has the experience of working with international finance institutions; he held the position of Chief Banker in “European Reconstruction and Development Bank” (EBRD). His competences included management of loan and capital operations, as well as management of loan products with commercial banks.
Prior to appointment in the position of Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, e held the positions of Deputy Corporate Director of “TBC Bank”.
Mr. Grigol graduated from the Faculty of Macroeconomics of Tbilisi State University, as well as the Faculty of Law (secondary faculty). He studied corporate banking in Germany, “Sparkasse” Banking Institute.
He is fluent in English and Russian languages.
